Blooms & Brews - Traditional Yule Logs
The Yule Log is an ancient tradition originating in Northern Europe as a folk celebration during the winter solstice and has been adapted as a Christmas tradition. Join us for an evening of crafting as you create your own holiday yule log. During the workshop, we will discuss the origins, significance, and tradition of the yule log and offer ideas to start your own solstice tradition. You can use your yule log as a centerpiece and/or celebrate the winter solstice traditionally by burning on the solstice. The materials include a larch wood log; fresh holly, mistletoe, and evergreen boughs; pine cones, cinnamon sticks, and orange slices. and three hand-dipped taper candles.
